We appreciate you making the trip to Utah to celebrate our wedding with us! Here you’ll find some guidance on picking the best accommodations for your visit.

This time of year is slow for the ski resorts, so you might be okay waiting to book. Some of the resort lodges offer spring specials as the ski season winds down.

staying near alta

  • Close to the main event

  • More expensive

  • Limited activities — especially for non-skiers

  • Some accommodations offer free transportation to/from the airport

At Alta: Alta Peruvian Lodge (where our big party will be), The Goldminer’s Daughter Lodge, Alta’s Rustler Lodge and Snowpine Lodge.

Down the road at Snowbird: The Cliff Lodge, The Lodge at Snowbird, Iron Blosam and The Inn.

staying in salt lake

  • About ~30 minutes from Alta — look for options closer to the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon if you’d like to be closer

  • More affordable

  • More options overall (hotels, Air BnBs, etc.)

  • Better access to a greater variety of activities and restaurants, not just skiing

  • May need a rental car (consider a AWD or 4WD option, as snowstorms are a real possibility in April)
